  2. Where and When • Galileo lived from 1564-1642 in Pisa, Italy.

  3. Interesting facts and events • Galileo devoted his time to study mathematics and his medical studies. • He used to drop objects of different weight off the leaning tower of Pisa where he discovered the law of falling bodies. • By age 25 he was appointed professor of mathematics in Pisa.

  4. Important Discoveries in Math • Galileo discovered the telescope. • He discovered the fundamental Laws of governing the pendulum. • He studied sun spots, lunar mtns,and Saturn's rings.

  5. Seeing isn’t believing • Galileo Galilei became blind and died of old age.
