  2. Introduction: • Swimming pools have become an eminent feature in almost every community. Kids and adults all love to beat the summer heat by soaking their body in clear pool water.Everybody likes to swim in clear water therefore, Pool Management Companies also involve adding chemicals in the swimming pool to kill all types of harmful bacteria, amoeba eggs, virus and fungi. Hotels, housing societies, amusement parks, sports training centers, etc., worldwide use chlorine as the most effective disinfectant for pool water sanitation.

  3. Here are some chemicals which are added to treat pool water are: • Oxidizers: These are helpful in eliminating all kinds of foreign materials in swimming pool water such as, body oils, sweats, urine, skin cells and other wind-blown materials.

  4. Algaecide • It is required to prevent the growth of seaweed. As we all know that algae are tiny water plants which grow and develop quickly in confined water spaces. These plants are responsible for making the water look green. Though these plants are not dangerous, yet people refrain from entering such places.

  5. Stabilizer • It is required to avoid unnecessary loss of chemicals. The effect of most swimming pool chemicals fade quickly due to sunlight. Stabilizer such as, Cyanuric acid is very helpful in protecting chlorine in pool water.

  6. Balance chemicals • They help in preventing swimming pool damage. Water under normal circumstances contains either too much or too less of calcium carbonate. High levels will give rise to ugly scales while low level of calcium carbonate leads to corrosion to pool surface. Water hardness should be maintained at a minimum level of 2000ppm. Addition of these chemicals can largely help to overcome limestone scales.
