The TDP Government, under the leadership of Former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, inaugurated the Babu Jagjeevan Ram Uttarandhra Sujala Sravanthi project in Chodavaram. This project aims to provide irrigation to 1.3 lakh acres in Visakhapatnam district and is set to be completed by the following May. The government's broader vision includes river interlinking to combat drought and offer irrigation across rain-deprived districts. To oversee this project, the Uttarandhra Irrigation Project Development Corp. Ltd has been established with the approval of the state water resources department.
