  1. An Exegesis of I Corinthians 1: 10 “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”

  2. Paul was aware of circumstances and the needs of his audience and taught accordingly. An Exegesis of I Corinthians 1: 10 “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”

  3. Paul did not have to have backing or majority vote (cp. Phili. 1: 15-17). An Exegesis of I Corinthians 1: 10 “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”

  4. Parakaleo, “To call to one’s side or one’s aid” (Vine). Used 108 times in the Greek New Testament. An Exegesis of I Corinthians 1: 10 “NowI beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”

  5. They were recognized as God’s people (I Cor. 1: 2). There was, though, a time element (cp. Rev. 2: 16). An Exegesis of I Corinthians 1: 10 “NowI beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”

  6. Jesus’ authority is paramount (Acts 4: 7, 12, Col. 3: 17, 2 John 9-11). Paul taught the “commandments of the Lord” (I Cor. 14: 37). An Exegesis of I Corinthians 1: 10 “NowI beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”

  7. Since we have the same creed book (Bible), we should be united regarding baptism, work of the church, grace, etc. An Exegesis of I Corinthians 1: 10 “NowI beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”

  8. Unity is not only possible, but it is commanded (Acts 2: 42, Phili. 2: 2-5, Eph. 4: 3-6). An Exegesis of I Corinthians 1: 10 “NowI beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”

  9. An Exegesis of I Corinthians 1: 10 “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”

  10. An Exegesis of I Corinthians 1: 10 Just think what would happen if I Corinthians 1: 10 were really believed and obeyed! “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”
