4. I. Magnet Program: Overview The Magnet Program is an intensive, challenging, and innovative program that includes in-depth instruction in many areas of science and technology.
Students develop core science skills in the areas of research, experimentation, analysis, and critical thinking while earning high school credit.

18. Want to Learn Even More? Shadow! Students have the opportunity to spend a school day at Cobb.
They participate in various academic and elective classes with Cobb teachers.
Shadow dates are February 15, 16, 17, 22, 23 & 24
Drop off at 8:45 a.m. & pick up at 2:45 p.m.
19. Program Applications Applications will be available on the Cobb website and in the front office in December.
Completed application due date is February 25, 2011 by 4:00 p.m.
The School Choice/Magnet/Reassignment Form must be signed by the principal of the assigned school and Cobb Middle School.
Notification of acceptance will occur in early March via email.
20. Program Admission Admission to the Magnet Program is based upon evaluation of the completed application and the following:
FCAT Scores.
Grade History.
Student Essay.
21. Program Participation Requirements For students to successfully complete this intellectually demanding program, they must:
Maintain a minimum 3.0 overall GPA.
Display responsible academic and personal behavior.
Attend class regularly.
