The Project target • Home Care formal services : • Home Assistance and • Home Health Care services, • provided by public org. or by private org. on the basis of protocols • and contracts with the public sector; • Targeted to non self sufficient individuals aged 65 and over
Project- Results I • A comparative analysis of socio-demographic trends and the evolutions of elderly health conditions in every country and area of the partners • An analysis of the European, national and regional legislation about LTC policies, • A transnational album of good practices and guidelines for monitoring / assessment in HHC services
Project- Results II • A set of indicators for monitoring quality in HHC • Final research report on the overall results of the research activities 6. A promotion of the project results and dissemination of good practices collected through different mainstreaming actions

The set of indicators • 2 set of indicators : Total about 140 • Baseline indicators : 74 • In depth indicators : 70
The set of the indicators • not quality standards but quality indicators (and measures) to be used at local, regional and national levels • is only a “road map” to quality, a source of useful elements for measuring and improving quality • must be adapted to local contexts
Some key elements • Integrated social and health information systems are needed • The person and the assessment of the situation of the person’s multiple needs of care are the starting points • Job satisfaction, empowerment, multi-professional collaboration of the HC workers • Training of HC professionals • Prevention it is considered as a dimension of quality • Quality and accessibility are strictly related
