  6. Skills Development Levy Flow 18% to assisttargeted groups National Skills Fund Enterprisespay 1%of their total payroll. SETAs 80% forgrants >70=50%/20% and admin > 10% SA Revenue Services 2% for admin

What if?: looking through the crystal ball • What if all companies claimed their levy? • What if all companies trained in NQF? • What if relevant companies included their trade union representatives in skills planning? • What if Seta made it a requirement to claim for WSP or ATR as NQF aligned training? • What if THETA placed a standard as an entry requirement for all SDFs serving the Tourism, Hospitality & Sport Sector?

Learnership division • Currently part of Skills Development and Learnership Department • Falls under the SD & Learnership Manager • Chamber Coordinators facilitate Learnership coordination (Evaluation Allocation, Monitoring and Reporting) • Learnership administration is done by administration staff • ETQA responsible for Training Provider (Accreditation, Programme approval, Quality assurance and Certification)

  21. Learnership application process • Theta Calls for the Expression of interest • Open and close application • In granting of Learnership THETA takes into Consideration the following: • Scarce skills and demand • Provincial allocation • Rural v/s urban • Equity • Availability of funds

CURRENT TAX REBATES • For the employer hosting employed learners, 70% of annual remuneration or R20 000,00 (previously R17 500) will be exempted on registration of an agreement •   For the employer hosting unemployed learners,70% of annual remuneration or R30 000,00 (previously R25 000) • On completion- R30 000,00 for both (employed & unemployed, previously R25 000)
