  3. The Meaning • The meaning of the song is about a boy who is in love with a girl in the 80s who wants to dance with her on rollerskates. He basically wants to be with her and only with her. He also talks about how he had memories with her and the things they have done togeheter and about how he wants to make love.

The genre - Pop • Pop conventions • Are all about the artist to sell the song to the potential audience • Bride colors- make-up, props ,whole setting. • Happy ,positive vibes a lot of dancing • A lot of pop artist are also be seen as sex symbols • Lots of close ups ups artist face ,long shots of dancing/partying scenes • As the song ‘’Love in the eighties’’ is all about fun and love bride colors like pink, purple, yellow can be used in the music video to demonstrate as well a lot of close ups on the main singer and the love interest (girl) • For example stars like Katy perry are being known for having crazy pop music videos were you can clearly see the typical pop conventions like – bride colors, sexual symbols, happy positive

The idea (Synopsis) • For the music video I want to have a pink backround where it looks like roller skate track. • One main singer ( guy ) and one girl ( second main character) (love interest ) four back-round dancer ( on rollerskate ) • Main idea is a pop music video where it focus a lot on the main singer and his story with the girl as well on the environment around 80s style. Or a older guy who looks at old videos of him – in the 80s

Visual Cues (Colours/images) • The colors are pink, purple, bride colours also like yellow for the rollerkstater track scenes – to show that what happened there in this scenes was fun they had fun- typical pop music colors • First and last scenes – maincharacter old its goanna be like grey, dark black, more darker colors to demonstrate that he is sad to show a bigger contrast between the two different scenes locations

Influences • The main Influence is actually from the singer who sing the song- I am friends with him and I asked him how he thought the music video could look like so togeheter with his ideas and mine I tried to find a overall idea on how the music video could demonstrate the best way the song.

  8. The cast (Who do you hope will be involved in your production?) • I hope I can get one of the A1 ( Albie peaslake house ) he would be perfect for the idea especially because he is quite tall and looks like he could fit into the 80s type of style. • For the girl I hope I can get Ella A1 ( in peaslake house ) this is because she fits perfectly for my idea of having a girl with blond short hair – quite small.

  9. Performance (How many performers? Any instruments) • How are you going to develop the star persona? How will you represent your artist? • The artist is gonna be represent trough main focus on the maincharacter- as well as the girl who isn’t singer . The singer is through being good looking (sexual symbol) as a start represendet ( girl crush). As well the love story between the boy and girl will be one of the characteristics of the artist ( love boy).

  10. Narrative (How are you telling a narrative? Story? Thematically?) Narrative is gonna be through the main person however there is not gonna be a thematically storyline as it looks more like a montage of the video and different scenes ( clips ) put togeheter which allows it to look more like a fun music but still managed to look like a story told so people undertstand what is happening

The style • The style is gonna look more at the pop 80s style which means more retro cameras so more old school- that means bride colors typical 80s style props • Overall its gonna be a typical pop song music video with pop conventions however it will have something a little bit more interesting just than a normal music video it will have flashbacks to the roller skater track which brings it a little more interest in.

  12. The structure • Opening shot • 10 sec in … • 30 sec in … • Opening shot would be a older guy sitting on a coach( everything dark greay – to look more sad) sitting infront of a tv and then basically clicking start and then everything turns pink rollerskates
