  3. Marcus cared lovingly for his new pet parrot, Polly, until the parrot escaped and flew away one day. Write a story about Marcus’ hunt for his pet parrot. In your story you can: • Describe how the parrot escaped from his cage • Say how the parrot was discovered • Say how Marcus felt when Polly was found

  4. During an Independence Day celebration, your dog was scared off by the loud explosion of the fireworks and ran off. You and your family went on a search for the dog. Write a story based on the ideas above. You may include: • How it all started • How your dog reacted • When and where you and your family found the dog.
