A frameless motor does not have a frame, housing, bearing, or feedback mechanism. Because of this, system vendors may optimize the motor for their application and lower the total cost of ownership.

ABOUT FRAMELESS TORQUE MOTOR
INTRODUCTION A frameless torque motor is a toroid-shaped motor that can directly drive the application without additional mechanics, like worm wheels, belts, or pulleys. They are also called direct-drive motors.
The frameless torque motors consist of two parts- • The armature assembly (stator) with windings. • The rotor assembly carries the magnets that produce torque, both integrated into a customer-specific application.
FEATURES • Frameless motors are broadly used across virtually all machine markets: robotics, medical, machine tools, packaging, printing, converting, and general automation. • Compact, precise, and smooth motion are key features of these motors.
