The Royal Mint Queen's Beasts and Tudor Beasts

The Queen's Beasts coins issued by the Royal Mint in platinum, gold, and silver since 2016 are available at BOLD Precious Metals.<br>Each of the ten beast coins in the series features a stylized version of one of the heraldic Queen's Beasts statues present at the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, representing her royal line of ancestry. The 2022 Tudor Beasts Lion of the England reverse was designed by David Lawrence and the obverse was designed by Jody Clark.

NEW LIFE TO MAJESTIC CREATURES (June 2, 1953) Currently, in her 90's Her majesty Queen Elizabeth II is the longest reigning and the longest-living monarch in history. (More than 66 years) When Her Majesty The Queen was crowned on June 2, 1953, ten statues were built to form a guard of honor at Westminster Abbey's entrance. The Queen's Beasts Collection gives new life these majestic creatures that represent the British monarchy. Each Beast narrates the story of crucial events and twists of fate that influenced history, following royal bloodlines from mediaeval times to the present day. II. ACCESSION DECLARATION -QUEEN ELIZABETH II (Feb. 6, 1952 and Nov. 1952) Elizabeth was in Kenya with her husband Prince Phillip when her father, King George VI, died on February 6, 1952. She came home without delay and was crowned 'Queen Elizabeth II' at the age of 25. The Accession Council declared Elizabeth's ascension to the throne. The Falcon of the Plantagenets The Queen's Beasts consists of an heraldic beast supporting a shield bearing a badge or arms of a family associated with the ancestry of Queen Elizabeth II. They were commissioned by the British Ministry of Works from the sculptor James Woodford. The original models are the King's Beasts which survive at Hampton Court Palace near London, sculpted in stone for King Henry VIII (1509–1547) and his third wife Jane Seymour. III. ABOUT JODY CLARK Royal Mint coin designer Jody Clark, who created both the reverse designs for this new collection and the fifth portrait of Her Majesty The Queen. IV. QUEEN'S BEASTS SILVER BULLION COIN The Lion - 2 oz Silver Bullion Coin Jody Clark is the youngest designer to have created a definitive coinage portrait of Her Majesty The Queen.
