They are made of paperboard and are thick and sturdy paper pieces, perfect for packaging. In short, folding cartons are extremely versatile, eco-friendly, and cost-effective. So, let’s highlight the different types of folding cartons & applications. Which folding carton adhesives do they use? This post shall also look for all these answers: STE Cartons - Also referred to as Straight Tuck End cartons, STEs are the most commonly used folding carton type. This type of carton features a simplistic design with tuck closure on both ends. Consequently, these cartons are incredibly seamless to assemble. They get used in different industries, from beverages and food to cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. RTE Cartons - RTE or Reverse Tuck End cartons resemble the design of the STE cartons. However, note that it features a tuck closure that’s different from that of the STE carton’s design. This carton’s top tucks in the opposite direction of its bottom.
