  2. For healthcare professionals working in the frontline, personal protective equipment or PPE is vital. Ensuring its quality is very important to limit the spread of unwanted diseases. In this regard, even product safety is an important consideration. The leader in the private sector, BEXIMCO PPE Division, implements every possible measure to ensure the core attributes. The BEXIMCO PPE Division has undertaken numerous measures to ensure the best levels of quality and safety when manufacturing personal protective equipment. Among these, 2 measures are quite notable. These include the partnership of this division with Intertek. The other one comprises the launch and functioning of the BEXIMCO PPE Industrial Park in Dhaka.

  4. Partnership with Intertek Intertek is the top provider of Total Quality Assurance. It caters to sectors across the world. This organization and BEXIMCO Group, the leader in the private sector of Bangladesh, partnered to manufacture PPE during the coronavirus pandemic.Amidst the pandemic, while the COVID-19 virus was a threat to life, the shortage of personal protective equipment was also a concern. This partnership was a strategic move during that time. However, beyond that, it was a measure to further enhance the product quality and safety of the equipment.

  5. Ensuring Effective Testing with Intertek Until some years ago, in Bangladesh, there were fewer facilities for the advanced testing of PPE. The partnership of BEXIMCO with Intertek resulted in meeting the necessary standards. Thus, the Centre of Excellence PPE Lab was formed over a 12,000 sq. ft. area to include advanced testing facilities.
