It is the result of an entrapped nerve that is constantly irritated by the surrounding bony structures, causing inflammation. What are the symptoms of Neuromas? • A dull burning sensation • A stinging sensation • Pain under the ball of the foot How is a neuroma treated? When treating neuromas, an initial conservative approach is best. Most neuromas, under a certain size, will respond well to orthotic therapy, foot mobilization and dry needling.
