  2. Sankranti festival is celebrated on a grand scale for three days-Bhogi, Makara Sankranti, Kanuma

  3. The day begins with womenfolk putting colourful `muggu` or `rangoli` in front of their houses with flowers and cow dung

  4. Boghi.. People gather at street corners and light bonfires on the streets with agricultural and household waste to mark Bhogi, which symbolises driving away of evil spirit from the households

  5. Sankranti is best time for flying colourful kites. People get on rooftops and start  kite flying.
