Eligibility Criteria for Application in B.Sc and M.Sc in Media Science: Admission to B.Sc. Media Science is done solely through Merit. Candidates are required to meet the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the respective colleges and universities. Candidates seeking admission must have passed 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in any relevant stream of Arts, Science or Commerce. There is no entrance examination held for admission to the program. Admission is processed on the basis of merit obtained in the qualifying examination. Candidates seeking admission to M.Sc. in Media Science course must hold a Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline or equivalent from a recognized university. Admission to this course will be granted strictly on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the entrance test followed by Personal Interview. Average course fees for this course across West Bengal and other places in India: The fees of a Media Science from government colleges are lesser than that of the private colleges. The fees of government colleges will vary from Rs. 11,659 to Rs. 1,10,000 for the entire course. However, fees for the course offered by private universities will vary from Rs. 2.5 to Rs. 3.5 lakh for the entire course.
