Fix the issue Brother Printer issue in Mac device Any issue can be a reason for your printer malfunction but the most common reason a Brother machine may stop working because the connection between your device and printer is lost. Therefore, your printer generates problem and stop printing pages. Well, there are several more issues that can also cause your printer to stop printing. To quickly resolve the issue in your brother machine figure out the root of the issue and perform appropriate troubleshooting steps. If you’re not sure what error causing the issue in your printer machine, do a random configuration.

  2. Follow the mentioned steps- Verify the internet connection: • Print the network configuration or user settings list on the brother machine and obtain the IP address. • Navigate to the applications, select utilities and hit Network Utility. Tap the PING button at the top of your Mac screen and then enter your Brother Printer IP address in the required box. • Tap on Send Only_Pings and change the digit to 4. • Hit the ping button and if the printer responds, continue troubleshooting.

  3. Check the machine is powered on and there are no errors: • Ensure your printer machine is not in sleep mode. Press any button to make sure the machine wakes from sleep mode. • Check the screen for any error message. Verify that the printer driver is installed: • Go to the Apple menu and select the Hardware and option and click on the Print & Fax icon. • If you see your printer in the list, skip this step.

  4. Verify your Brother printer as a default printer: • In the print & Fax click the default printer drop-down menu box and choose your printer as a default printer for your device. Remove the print queue: • Make sure your printer driver show idle not paused. • If you find it paused, click on the Printer Driver and tap resume printer on the printer queue window or in click on the File menu and select printer and resume printer. • If there any document is in the queue to be printed, delete the print jobs select the job tab and hit to delete.
