About alfajores • Alfajores are a traditional dessert you will in Spain as well as parts of Latin America including Argentina, Paraguay, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, and Mexico • Each country has its own variation of alfajor • The name “alfajor” has its origins in Arabic, meaning “luxury” or “exquisite” • In Latin America, alfajores typically have two soft cake-like biscuits that are held together with either dulce de leche or fruit jam, and sometimes are coated in chocolate www.buenaondafoods.com
