  2. The Colorado Avalanche, sometimes known as AVS, is a professional ice hockey team based in Denver. As a member of the Central Division in the Western Conference, the Avalanche play in the National Hockey League (NHL). When an Avalanche game is held in their hometown, it takes place at the Ball Arena, a popular venue. He was the official team mascot of the Colorado Avalanche. • Chris MacFarland, formerly the Assistant General Manager between 2015 and 2022, was declared the organization’s General Manager on July 11th, 2022. • On August 26th, Jared Bednar was declared as the head coach of the Colorado Avalanche. • Bednar played from 1993 to 2002 with the Rochester Americans, St John’s Maple Leafs, and Grand Rapids Griffins. • Presently associated with the AVS game, the 2023-2024 campaign will be his eighth with the organization. • After winning the 2022 Stanley Cup, he became the first professional in this field to win championships as a head coach in the ECHL, AHL, and NHL.
