LOCATION • The first and the most important factor is the location of the home. • Before buying a home just check for the location of the home. • When you go for home hunt see the proximity of home to work, noise from neighbors, traffic noise & access to schools, shopping malls etc.
NEIGHBORHOOD • Even if your home is small but it should be in a nice neighborhood. • You should see whether neighborhood is safe for people to walk and also safe for their children to play. • Look for whether there is cleanliness in the surrounding area.
SIZE OF ROOMS • When buying a home, think about the home space and see whether it would fit your requirements for future also. • Imagine setting your furniture in the room as you walk. • If possible carry measurements with yourself. • Room size should not be too small or too big it should match your lifestyle.
INTERIOR LAYOUT • Interior Layout or the floor plan is one of the important factor. • Check for narrow passages and sharp corners. • Check for natural flow from one room to another room. • Interior Layout can bring a big effect on your daily life.
WINDOW SIZE & PLACEMENT • Look for a home with windows placed in a right position. • Check for the size of window because windows are about comfort and let in fresh air. • Windows capture views and make a connection with nature.
AMOUNT OF NATURAL LIGHT • When you like a home and feel like buying it just have a second look at it again but at different time of the day. • This would make you clear about the natural light that comes in your home.
DRIVEWAY WIDTH • You might think that this is a silly thing to check for but it is important. • Check for the width of the driveway which reaches the home. • Sometimes it happens that car doesn’t fit in the narrow driveway.
STREET PARKING • Sometimes there are major issues related to street parking. • There are strict rules and regulations regarding it. • People are not allowed to park cars in front of their houses at night. So do check for these rules.
STAIRCASE STEEPNESS • Check for whether the staircase is too steep. • If you are planning a future in that same home then do not go for steep staircase. • As after you get old it will not be comfortable for you.

NUMBER OF BATHROOMS • Look for a home with enough bathrooms which meets your family needs. • This is the most important thing to check for in a home. As in today’s busy life there is a need for more bathrooms.
CEILING HEIGHTS • Check height of the ceiling of the home as nowadays homes are mostly built with less height than normal. • Bring a person who is tall with you to check this.
