School clothes and shoes Getting kids out of their uniforms before they spend too much time inside the home is important, too. Have them take their school clothes off, grab a quick shower and change into whatever it is that they wear around the home. This helps to ensure that any germs that may be on your kids and/or their clothes, doesn’t get transmitted all around the home and contaminate other items, or family members.
Lunch boxes Lunchboxes are handled pretty extensively, albeit only once or twice during the school day, and should be wiped down thoroughly, washed or placed in the dishwasher at the end of every day. Deep clean them at least once a week, and if they’re made of fabric, you may even be able to throw them in the laundry.
