  1. How To Turn Dusting into A Cakewalk

  2. Dusting. Yuk. Nobody enjoys dusting, right? However, without taking some steps to eliminate dust, it will always be there, and could even start to affect your health if left to accumulate over time. The best way to tackle dust is with the right tools, and of course, a little effort on your part! By putting together a dusting caddy containing microfiber cloths, and a spray solution and furniture polish (that’s really all you need!), and investing in a vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter, you can make dusting a cinch, and keep your home clean and allergen free. Keep your dusting caddy where you’re most likely to grab it with ease when you need it, or better yet, keep several caddies and place them strategically throughout your home.

  3. Hunting for the tools you need to clean just makes you want to give up and do something else, so have the tools at hand, and don’t forget to make sure that they’re also kept clean, otherwise you’ll just be moving dust around from one place to another. What can make dusting even easier to keep on top of, is to dedicate a day to it, or two days depending on how much dust your home tends to gather and whether anyone in your home suffers from allergies or any respiratory illnesses. Here are 3 top tips for keeping on top of dust in your home:

  4. Dust consistently Letting dust build up until it becomes a huge problem, is only ever going to make the job harder, and your home and its inhabitants will suffer in the meantime. Try not to ignore dust when you see it, after all, giving a surface a quick wipe down or vacuuming a section of the floor that’s particularly dusty, takes nothing more than a minute or two. Every other day, check areas that are prone to getting dusty and clean them up; this will also prevent you from having to devote much more of your time to dusting.

  5. Avoid clutter The more clutter you keep on surfaces, the more you’ll have to dust and the longer the task will take. Wherever possible, keep treasured items that you wish to display, behind glass, and avoid buying any new items that will be hard to dust due to their size, shape or material. Have your air vents cleaned as often as recommended Whether you arrange to have your air vents professionally cleaned once a year, or more often, doing so will help to keep the air within your home much purer, and in turn, help to reduce dust from circulating throughout your home.

  6. If your home is particularly dusty, or your busy schedule doesn’t permit you to clean as often as you’d like (or as often as your home needs), why not hire a cleaning service and come back to a dust free home at the end of each day?
