Dr Raktim A Multitalented Healthcare-Giver Addressing the Nutritional Needs of Cancer Patients Being an Entrepreneur, Innovator, Cancer Researcher CEO, Esperer Group of Companies, and with a deep background in pharmaceuticals and healthcare, I recognized a significant gap in addressing the needs of patients undergoing cancer treatment—especially with respect to nutrition.
Dr Raktim Chattopadhyay Founder and CEO, Esperer Group of Companies
S gaining an in-depth understanding of each factor for long- term benefits. For instance, each cancer patient has unique nutritional needs based on their type of cancer, stage of disease, treatment plan, and overall health. Providing personalized nutrition recommendations can be challenging. ince cancer nutrition is a complex field riddled with numerous challenges for patients and healthcare professionals, they must navigate the journey, At Esperer, he and his team of experts strive to combine traditional knowledge with cutting-edge research to provide personalized, evidence-based solutions that meet specific needs. Dr Raktim believes that empathy, innovation, and a commitment to quality are what sets them apart. They focus on understanding the challenges their customers face and work relentlessly to offer solutions that not only improve physical health but also enhance emotional well-being. This approach has been key to Esperer's growth and his success as a leader. Also, cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy, can cause significant side effects that impact a patient's appetite, taste, and ability to eat. These side effects can lead to malnutrition and weight loss, making it difficult to meet nutritional needs. Furthermore, cancer patients are at a higher risk of malnutrition and weight loss due to factors such as decreased appetite, nausea, vomiting, and difficulty swallowing. These conditions can negatively impact treatment outcomes and overall quality of life. Some cancer patients may develop food intolerances or allergies as a result of their treatment or underlying health conditions. This can limit their dietary options and make it challenging to maintain a healthy and balanced diet. And finally, cancer diagnosis and treatment can lead to emotional distress, anxiety, and depression, which can affect eating habits and appetite. Addressing these psychological factors is essential for supporting cancer patients' nutritional needs. Constant R&D is the Only Way Ahead According to Dr Raktim, staying ahead in a rapidly evolving industry requires agility and a deep understanding of both the science and the market. These trendsetters not only change the paradigm of working out but indeed revolutionize the very concept of the fitness landscape, from virtual workouts and wearable technology to the needs of modern lifestyles. The pandemic pushed the adoption of virtual fitness forward, and fitness innovators seized this opportunity to push this concept further. Today, streaming services like Peloton, Beachbody On Demand, and Zwift offer members access to thousands of classes across yoga and Pilates, high- intensity interval training, and cycling. This democratized fitness, allows anyone to work out from any place at home, in the park, or while travelling without the need for a gym membership. Now, with the support of artificial intelligence, the applications and platforms of fitness can now produce a more personalized experience. With AI, the application of Freeletics helps design workout plans particularly to achieve the goals and requirements of the user and to the level of his or her fitness. Therefore, the user will stick to the routine as they develop over time, and thus the journey to fitness will always be dynamic and productive. Here are the areas in which fitness innovators are making waves and paving new paths in the Health and Wellness world: 1. Smart Fitness Equipment Goodbye to manual, old-fashioned gym machines. Innovators in fitness today are working on incorporating technology into equipment and gear in the gym. There are now brands like Peloton, Tonal, and Mirror that have set the benchmark by merging high-quality fitness equipment with cutting-edge technology. For instance, Peloton offers a subscription-based model, providing its users with access to live and on-demand classes from their homes. Similarly, the digital weight machine of Tonal employs electromagnetism, where it adjusts resistance, and Mirror is a full-length reflective screen that streams workout classes to be a mirror for your home. 3. Wearable Fitness Technology Wearable tech is another area where innovative fitness players are making tremendous impacts. Devices like the Apple Watch, Fitbit, and Oura Ring have evolved beyond tracking steps taken to deliver more complex data on heart rate, sleep quality, calorie burn, and stress levels. Such wearables provide real-time data and empower users to make much better decisions about their health and wellness. The wearables are now bringing an entirely new level of training fitness as they measure recovery and strain, thus offering athletes and fitness enthusiasts better planning of their training. This has been incorporated with the help of applications that will guide them on insights gathered from their performance. The tools enable users to enhance their ability and track development with time. The devices allow one to be able to monitor the actual performance of a user live. They provide users with information based on heart rate, calories expended, and the strength the user has in terms of performance. They are each so much equipped with tech; this enables persons to receive targeted training depending on how well they are performing, which means that exercises never happen without being difficult and specific to their requirements. 30 | www.ciolookindia.com Nov, 2024

Recovery tools such as massage guns (Theragun), infrared saunas, and compression therapy devices will become more popular as they realize that their bodies require time to rest and recover. Fitness innovators have placed more emphasis on functional training and mobility since now it is recognized that strength, flexibility, and balance must all be developed to allow improvements in daily activities without the risk of injury. Coaches and brands are encouraging movements that would mimic real life, such as squatting, lunging, and pushing, all to prepare the body to move more effectively and efficiently in daily life. Conclusion: The New Era of Fitness Modern fitness pioneers bring innovation by infusing technology, personalization, and overall wellness into smart, accessible, and enjoyable fitness solutions. Fitness innovators aim to make it easier for the masses to lead healthier lives by integrating fitness into an everyday routine. They are offering more flexible, data-driven, and engaging pathways in pursuit of getting fit. The future of fitness looks bright. Mobility-focused workouts and tools including foam rollers, resistance bands, and even the use of mobility applications will continue to grow. Corporations like TRX use functional training involving suspension and bodyweight movements that focus on engaging numerous muscle groups all at one time and offering low-impact workouts to work a full-body emphasis on mobility and joints via OBE. “ Fitness is no longer just physical exercise but equally encompasses mental wellness and holistic wellness.
