Programming Tutorial SQL stands for Structured Query Language designed to execute operations like storing, retrieving and manipulating data such as updating records, deleting records, creating and modifying tables, views etc in the relational database. SQL is only a query language, and not a database. For executing SQL queries, databases need to be installed, such as Oracle, MongoDB, DB2, MySQL, SQL, SQL Server, PostGre, etc. SOME ADVANTAGES OF SQL SQL consists mainly of English statements that make it easy to learn and write SQL queries.
