  2. Honey tea Perhaps the most tries and tested cough suppressant, a lot of medicines and cough medicine are actually made with honey as the base. Research shows that honey consists antimicrobial properties, making it a cough remedy that can fight off germs. To make honey tea, all you got to do is take a hot cup of water and out 1 to 2 teaspoons of honey and stir.

  3. Ginger tea Ginger is filled with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that encourage the airway to calm down, helping you breathe better. It also helps reduce coughing. To make ginger tea, boil 4-6 pieces of peeled pieces of ginger and boil it with some water until steaming.

  4. Thyme tea When it comes to taking a cough remedy at home, thyme is one of the most suggested solutions. It is antimicrobial in its nature and combats germs and inflammation to reduce coughing. People often use thyme extract as a cough medicine too. To make thyme tea, take fresh thyme sprigs and pour boiling water over them to strain it. After five minutes, the tea will be ready.

You can add honey for sweetness.

Gargling with green tea reduces coughing because it is rich in antimicrobial compounds that reduce the growth of bacteria and viruses. To make green tea, purchase blended green tea leaves and combine them with hot water.
