  1. What is Short Luteal Phase? The luteal phase is a time period during the menstrual cycle of a woman. It falls between the ovulation period and menstruation. This phase plays an important role in conception. It is during this time period that the newly fertilized egg reaches the uterus from the fallopian tube. It then implants in the uterus. This phase lasts for twelve to seventeen days i.e. fourteen days on an average.

  2. Knowing your Luteal Phase:- You can also find out the length of your luteal phase at home but for that you will need to know about your ovulation time. You can check your temperature after ovulation to determine the luteal phase. If your temperature is elevated, your luteal phase is fine. A luteal phase that comes to an end within twelve days or less is known as short luteal phase. Women experiencing short luteal phase are most likely to suffer with miscarriage issues.
