It is made from synthetic polymer fibers or filaments that are continuously extruded and laid into a moving belt. The fibers are then needle punched, which mechanically entangles them to form a non-woven mass. Non-woven geotextile is used to enhance the performance and design life of granular layers by providing separation and filtration functions. It is commonly used in ground stabilization and around drainage materials.
