2. DATA SCIENCE REVOLUTION 11.5 million Data Science jobs will be generated by 2026. - U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics 2022 is big for the data science enthusiasts. The global data science market size is expected to grow from USD 189 billion in 2019 to USD 274 billion by 2022, at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 13.1% during the forecast period. Industry 4.0 is further accelerating the demand for data science professionals by creating millions of new jobs today and in the coming future. Globally, according to IBM, around 28% of the total jobs in 2020 were data science jobs. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics says data science jobs are expected to grow by at least 19% by 2026. However, the current skill development rate for data science professionals stands at a slackened 14%. As of now, on an average, a data science job remains vacant for 45 days due to talent crunch. 4. THE CRITERIA ELIGIBILITY Ways to Become a CSDS™ The following are the specifics of what it takes to become a CSDS™. There are THREE convenient paths covering Data Science professionals from diverse backgrounds and experience to earn a CSDS™! PATH 01 PATH 02 Required Minimum Mandatory Qualification Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any academic discipline, preferably STEM, and willing to learn Data Science. Required Minimum Mandatory Qualification Must have a Master's degree or equivalent in any academic discipline, preferably STEM, and willing to learn Data Science. Required Work Experience At least five years of experience in Data Science, Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Project Management, or any Programming languages etc. Required Work Experience At least four years of experience in Data Science, Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Management, etc. PATH 03 Required Minimum Mandatory Qualification Must have completed CLDS™ or other equivalent certification.
