  2. In Florida, probate is a court process which addresses several issues regarding the finances and tangible assets of a person after they have died. The issues addressed include the following: • Identifying the assets of the deceased; • Paying the debts of the deceased; as well as • Distributing the remaining assets to a deceased person’s beneficiaries. www.doaneanddoane.com

  3. Steps Needed When Someone Dies with a Will First, one must make sure the deceased person’s will is valid. Ascertaining that the will fully complies with the law and that the decedent was mentally competent when signing the will is of major importance.
