  2. Introduction Applying false eye lashes can be tricky, have you ever thought they looked perfect in their packets only to apply them and look like a wannabe? Unfortunately. Strip lashes aren’t like one-size-fits-all kind of a thing. Here’s how to find the ideal fake eyelashes for your eye shape, and handy hacks for applying them so they look quite natural and last. To make things last, you must use the right process else the lash won’t stick and won’t last long, too.

  3. Understanding Your Eye Shapes When considering best eyelashes to buy, you must know the eye shapes. For instance, almond eyes are considered the suit-all strip lash eye shape. This is when the iris disappear into the upper and lower eyelids when you look straight. Not happening for you? Well, there are some common eye shapes. Deep set eyes, when the eyes are set deeper into the head creating an illusion of prominent brow bone. Downturned eyes, when the corners appear to be drawing downwards. Hooded eyes, when the crease of your eyelid isn’t visible. Prominent eyes; when the lids appear projected in the eyes socket areas.

  4. The close-set / wide-set test: Using a pencil, pen or makeup brush into the mirror and place the tool from the inner corner of the eye to the outside edge that will let you measure the yes. You must be able to fit the width of your eyes perfectly in between the two eyes. When you get overlap, you tend to have close set eyes so you want to create the illusion of drawing them apart with lashes that are longer at the outer corners. If the space is bigger than one eyeball width then you have wide set eyes and want the emphasis to be towards the center and inner corner lashes to draw eyes together.

  5. Measuring-up the lashes: Rest the strip along the lash line to see whether you need to trim it to size. The strip must start where your natural bulk of eyelashes begin, if you start too close to the inner corner it will irritate the eyes. To mark where your best fake eyelashes strip should end, go to the outer corner and count2-4 lashes inwards. If you have them hanging over, it can pull the eyes down.

  6. Trimming the lashes to size: If you have to trim the fake eyelashes to fit, remember to do it from the outside edge and don’t cut through the lashes, always cut them at the vein. If you cut upwards you’ll chop off half of the eyelashes you actually wanted to keep. So, to fit the fake eyelashes properly you must know where to trim and how to trim it easily. Cutting through the outside edge will help you chop off the unnecessary and extra pieces that aren’t needed while keeping the required parts in place.

  7. Applying the glue correctly Applying the glue correctly is the next important thing for applying the eyelashes like an expert. Start with dotting a thin layer of glue (straight from the adhesive applicator) along the vein of the lash, corner to corner. Just wait for a few seconds for it to go tack before its actual application. If you want super long-lasting application do the double adhesive technique by applying some dots of glue your lash line as well as on the lashes. However, be very careful when applying the glue so that it doesn’t come between the fake lashes strip.

  8. Where exactly to apply the lashes After you have applied the glue remember to place the eyelashes where your natural bulk of eyelashes begin. Just look down and press the strip lash against the lash line in the centre, the outer edge and the inner edge. That’s it. don’t press to hard, just press gently for the eyelashes to stick to your natural eyelashes. If needed use a tweezer to adjust it so that it doesn't come off easily.

  9. Bonding the lashes Once you have applied the best fake eyelashes, next bonding is necessary. Dot a thin layer of glue along the vein of the lash, from corner to corner. Wait a few seconds for it to go tacky before application. If you want super long-lasting application do the double adhesive technique by applying some dots of glue along the lash line as well as on the lashes. No matter where you are applying the glue, just be careful so that it doesn’t come in contact with your eyes.

  10. Finally How your lashes will look... Fake eyelashes actually add enough volume to your eyes and to your existing eyelashes. Not everyone has been gifted with fuller and voluminous eyelashes and for them false eyelashes are a boon in disguise. Applying this is easy and so is removing it whenever you want to.
