Word 2007 • Microsoft Word is now more visually stimulating so that it has a less imposing appearance for casual users. • The top bar is less cluttered with vague command names, and design tools are granted a greater emphasis. • Spell Checker is updated with a context checker for improper word usage. This is indicated by a blue underline.

  3. Powerpoint 2007 • From the redesigned menu, more design options are easily reached at once. • Stylish new designs automatically apply to all slides in a presentation. These designs can also be easily previewed. • The ability to save in older Powerpoint formats can be crucial for compatibility issues.

Excel 2007 • The interface has been mainstreamed so that rather than clicking through numerous complicated dialog boxes, users instead can “browse, pick, and click” with ease. • The formula bar automatically resizes to accommodate longer, more complex formulas so that Excel is more capable. • Excel now allows much larger databases with faster calculating times.

  5. Visio 2007 • Easily connect images and diagrams in your Visio presentation. • The brand-new “Refresh Data” feature allows you to automatically refresh the data in your Visio presentation. • Visio presentations can now be saved into XPS or PDF formats so that they can be more compatible.

  7. Groove 2007 • Keeps workspaces synchronized for easier and wider workspace collaboration. • Capable of storing workspace data changes for offline users. • No need to deal with irritating VPNs, because encrypted data is sent across common protocol ports in your Firewall.
