  3. Troubleshooting steps to solve Samsung Galaxy S3 won’t turn on problem • 1. First of all hit the power button, not one or two times, but several times to make sure that there is a problem with the phone powering on. • 2. Take out the battery from your phone and hold the power key for a minute. It will drain the stored electricity in the phone. Then again put the battery and press the power button to turn on the phone. If you see the phone is dead, then proceed with the next steps to solve Samsung Galaxy S3 won’t turn on problem. • 3. Boot your phone to safe mode to see if a third party app is preventing your phone from booting up normally. In safe mode, only the preloaded apps will be running. So if any app is causing this problem, then you will get to know it and can uninstall the app. To boot your Galaxy S3 in safe mode, press the Power button and hold it while tapping on the menu key(Left to the home button) constantly. Samsung screen appears. Now release the Power button and the menu key. Your phone will be restarted and you will see safe mode at the lower left corner of the screen. If safe mode comes up, do a factory reset , navigate to : • >Settings • >Backup and Reset • >Factory Data Reset • In case you cannot get to Safe mode, go ahead with the next step. • 4. Boot your phone to Recovery mode and clear the cache. To do that press and hold the Power, Home and Volume Up buttons simultaneously . When the phone starts vibrating or the android screen appears , release all buttons. Then highlight the ‘wipe cache partition’ using Volume down key. Press the Power button to select it. After the cache partition is wiped out, your phone will be rebooted automatically. If not, click on Reboot system now. • But if you cannot boot your Galaxy S3 in Recovery mode, then either the battery is busted or there is a problem with your phone’s power switch.
