Natural Resources Ground Water Technician- Any individual employed by a natural resources district and engaged in the inspection of chemigation systems, measuring and recording static water levels, inspection and servicing of flow meters, and water sampling practices and techniques. Natural resources ground water technician does not include: An individual who constructs a water well or installs or repairs pumps or pumping equipment or a water well; A Water Well Monitoring Technician; An individual who carries out the measurement, sampling, or inspection of a water well which is on land owned by him or her and used by him or her for farming, ranching, or agricultural purposes, or as his or her place of abode. Licensure Requirements Applicants must: 1. Be at least 19 years of age; 2. Demonstrate professional competence by achieving a score of 70% or better on each required examination section; 3. Pay the

Furnish proof of a current public liability and property damage insurance policy in the sum of at least $100,000 (CONTRACTORS ONLY); 5. Be either a citizen of the United States, an alien lawfully admitted into the United States who is eligible for a credential under the Uniform Credentialing Act, or a nonimmigrant who is lawfully present in the United States and who is eligible for a credential under the Uniform Credentialing Act; 6. Comply with the Water Well Standards and Contractors' Licensing Act and all standards, rules, and regulations. Fees $150.00 for all license types if initial license is issued in January through June of even- numbered years, or any month in odd-numbered years. $37.50 for all license types if initial license is issued in July through December of even-numbered years. Renewal Renewal is required biennially by December 31 of even-numbered years. The renewal fee is the same as the initial license fee for each license type.
