1. Teacher's Day Celebration In Eklavya School A Good Teacher Is Like A Candle. It Consumes Itself To Light The Way For Others. On 5th September'18, Teachers' Day Programme was organized in Eklavya School Jalandhar with incredible gusto and zeal by the students of Senior School. The event was celebrated in the School Campus. It began with the morning assembly and the students of class 11 and 12 played the role of various teachers. Importance of Teachers: Avreen Kaur of class 11 highlighted the importance of teachers in her remarkable speech. Teachers play a major role in making their student's responsible citizens of tomorrow and good human beings. It is impossible to imagine our lives without teachers. They are the cornerstone of our future. We can never thank teachers enough for their immense contribution in a student's life. Teacher's Day is celebrated to show our acknowledgement and recognition of the hard work put in by our teachers towards our development. Celebration of the day: On the occasion of Teacher's day, various cultural programs and activities took place in school. The students of class 9 performed a skit cum dance. Senior students were dressed up as teachers and took up their roles, gave out lectures and taught the students of primary level. By doing so, the students get a hands-on experience and realize how it feels to be a teacher. All the teachers were invited for a grand programme organized at http://www.eklavyaschooljal.net by students of class XI and XII. The programme started with a poem by Tamanna and a dance performance by the students of class 12 which mesmerized everybody. The programme continued with song dedication where a song was played and the teachers had to guess to which teacher that song was dedicated. A video was shown which was prepared by the students in which almost all the classes gave messages to their loving teachers. Teachers were overwhelmed by seeing their love and respect.

2. Teachers Felicitation: Our Honorable Principal Ms. Dimpal Sharma was also felicitated by director Ms. Seema Handa for contributing her duties to Eklavya family for Fifteen years. Ms. Rajwinder Kaur and Ms. Inderpreet Kaur were felicitated by the director Ms. Seema Handa, the principal Ms. Dimpal Sharma and the administrator Ms. Arvinder Kaur for successfully completing Ten years and Five years respectively. Teachers got delighted by the programme organized for them. Students always look forward to Teacher's Day with a lot of anticipation. Acting as teachers, they get a fair idea of the responsibility, so efficiently handled by their teachers. It requires a lot of hard work and dedication to be a good teacher and earn the affection of students at the same time. Teachers, on this day, are reminded of their school days and feel nostalgic. All in all, it was celebration mode for everyone! The Chairman of Eklavya School Mr. J.K. Gupta commended the efforts of every teacher for the painstaking effort they selflessly put in every day. Ms. Seema Handa Director Eklavya School shared that Children are the country's future, hence they need to be positively nurtured and that is done best by teachers as children get inspired by their teachers. Teachers enlighten students and shape their career. The Principal, Ms Dimpal Sharma talked to the children and reminded them of the tireless labour and love all their teachers put in to bring them up as knowledgeable and compassionate individuals.
