The Linksys RE7000 Extender WPS setup is a method used to connect the Linksys RE7000 Extender to a Wi-Fi network using the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) feature. 2. Here are the general steps to setup the Linksys RE7000 extender using WPS: Place the RE7000 extender within the range of your wireless network. Plug the extender into an electrical outlet and wait for the power light to turn solid. Press and hold the WPS button on the extender until the WPS light starts to blink. Press the WPS button on your wireless router within 2 minutes of pressing the WPS button on the extender. Wait for the WPS light on the extender to stop blinking and turn solid. Move the extender to a new location, ideally halfway between your router and the area where you need to extend your network. Connect your computer or mobile device to the extended network using the same network name (SSID) and password as your wireless router.
