Introduction • During the metamorphism processes of marble rocks, a group of common minerals such as serpentine [hydrous magnesium iron phyllosilicate ((Mg, Fe) 3Si2O5(OH)4)] along with minor amounts of chromium, manganese, cobalt or nickel like mineral elements resulting into green colored marble with typical textures and colors.
