  2. Alcala La Real is located in Andalusia, about an hour from Granada. In my opinion, it is one of the most beautiful Spanish cities. Is small, but her beauty impresses everyone. There are amazing historic monuments, olive fields, and amazing rock formations in where local artists create incredible sculptures. About the city

Asociación Socio-Cultural VerdeSur Alcala Asociación Socio-Cultural VerdeSur Alcalá is created by a group of people who would like to create a social change in Alcala’s town while focusing on the young people and involving the young people to the mobility activities as well as the local socio-cultural activities.The association is supported by the local municipality, and it is based on the youth building of Alcala la Real where has a very diverse environment with a great historical trajectory where it can bring too many opportunities for events and social activities for young people and adults.

  4. Child activities The activities were very diverse. We worked with children, adults, residents of Alcala, people in needs and other volunteers. Café de idioma Hoja seca Caritas Cruz Roja Urban garden About activities

  5. Cruz Roja- Red Cross We helped with the relocation of the Red Cross headquarters from Jaen of Alacala. We carried out renovation works and painted a mural about the connection of human hearts in doing good for others.

  6. We conducted classes for children from enviroment with difficulties. We made workshops where we made decorative flowers from recycled bottles and painted a mural. Child Activities

  7. Urban Garden Together with other volunteers and children, we built Urban Garden. A place where everyone will find something for themselves. We painted flowerbeds, planted new plants and took care of the ones already growing, for which we created an irrigation system.

  8. Hoja Seca ECO FARM

Hoja Seca In Hoja Seca, located in Santa Ana, we helped the organization in building a space where in the future they could make workshops for the local population on ecology and plant cultivation. We managed to build a place to conduct workshops, and a compost bin. We also collected garbage from the area where grapevines and other local plant species grow.

  10. Café de idioma Weekly meetings with the people of Alcala.

  11. Caritas At the headquarters of Caritas, we helped other Spanish volunteers. Our tasks consisted in organizing and sorting items to be released to the people in need. We also distributed food.

  12. My travels In my free time, between duties, I managed to go on a few trips to see the beauty of Andalusia and more. We managed to visit Seville, Córdoba, Malaga, Granada, Madrid and even Lisbon and Gibraltar.

  13. In conclusion, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of the program. Going to Spain was the best idea ever! I met a lot of amazing people, created memories that I can't tell, opened up to others and overcame barriers, thanks to which I feel like a completely different person. I recommend everyone to use such a program to open up to the world and people around us. My summary
