  1. 09.2023-05.2024 Presented By: Zuzanna Boratyńska ENJOY SICILY My Sicilian experience with European Solidarity Corps

  2. About me And how it started? Ciao! I’m Zuzka and this is how I ended up volunteering in Sicily! After finishing my musical education and working in a tea shop in Poznań, I had a strong need to rearrange my life and needed some time to think - what's next? I decided to fulfill one of my dreams, namely - to live for a longer time in another, preferably sunny country. I had been planning to volunteer for a long time, and I found out about the European Solidarity Corps thanks to my research some time earlier. I immediately started looking for the organization and type of volunteering that best suited me. I chose Italy - or more precisely - Sicily and the Enjoy Sicily organization, based in Messina. I sent my CV and cover letter through a supporting organization Fundacja Rozwoju Społeczeństwa Przedsiębiorczego and after some time I received a positive response! Thanks to this, I spent 8 beautiful months on a sunny island.

  3. ENJOY SICILY My hosting organisation At Enjoy Sicily I was writing articles and working on monthly magazines - also visual work; posting on platforms such as Instagram and Facebook, and I also recorded a podcast. I created presentations for digital marketing workshops and participated in events involving the local community.

  5. Info Point My main task here was to inform tourists arriving by cruise at the port of Messina about what can be visited, where and what to eat, and to show them the most important places on the city map. The tourists came from different countries - the USA, Spain, Japan and more.

  6. Monthly magazine Another of my tasks was to create a magazine together with other volunteers. We created it from scratch - first, we came up The E.S. Times with topics that we would develop ourselves. Then we created articles together. At the end, we created a visually coherent magazine.

  7. Radio Antivirus In our office we also had equipment for recording podcasts and software for editing them. Together with another volunteer, I managed to produce a podcast titled: "Z Polski na Sycylię" also available on Spotify.

  8. La coperta di Beatrice That was a project thats goal was to raise awareness about violence against women. Together with other volunteers, we participated in crocheting blankets. Finally, we combined all the blankets into one. On this day, we were also accompanied by various speeches and performances by activists.

  9. NGO Village Project Thanks to this I got introduced to the work of non-governmental I had the opportunity to take part in meetings of organizations from various countries co-creating the NGO Village Project. organizations.
