  14. Additional InformatIon The official currency in Lithuania is Euro. The cost of a public transport ticket is around 1-1,5 EUR. The emergency number in Lithuania is 112. As COVID regulations are no longer mandatory, participants are not required to provide PCR tests or show proof of vaccination. However, it is recommended to practice social distancing and avoid close contact with others if experiencing symptoms such as cough, fever, etc. Other rules will be announced and explained on the first day of activities. The weather in Lithuania during late September is unpredictable. It is advisable to check it before packing and bring some warm clothes for cooler days. After the mobility, participants are expected to participate in follow-up activities, such as organizing workshops (at least1 per country), creating articles, brochures, podcasts, etc. In order to access the forest when needed we will take the public bus. You can expect a safe and multicultural environment where diverse opinions are embraced and respect is a priority. However, meeting this expectation is the responsibility of each one of us. The food will be typical of Lithuanian culture and may differ from what you are used to. Throughout the day, there will be activities that require active participation, combined with time to explore the culture and the city. You will meet new people from various countries whom you will interact with during group activities and free time. While the conditions are good, it's important to note that it's not a 5-star hotel. The facilitators are eager to share their knowledge, but they are not teachers and becoming proficient in a topic in a week is less realistic. Before the mobility, we encourage you to check our Facebook or Instagram pages for detailed information about various concepts related to Erasmus+, such as training course, intercultural evening, dissemination phase and more. The success of this training course depends on everyone. The facilitators are also human and may sometimes need your help and understanding.

  15. TIP Places to VISIT FUN FACT If you can try only one typical Lithuanian dish, make it cepelinai. These potato dumplings, stuffed with either meat or curd filling, are a must-try delicacy. Don't be surprised when you hear that what you've called bread all your life is not actually bread but "batonas". The traditional Lithuanian bread is "duona." Trakai Island Castle Kaunas Historic Center Kernave Archaeological Site Museum Vilnius Old Town Gediminas Tower Raudonė Castle ABOUT LITHUANIA "Where do you come from? Lithu… what?” This is probably the most common question Lithuanians hear when they meet foreigners. Well, it’s quite understandable. Lithuania is a very tiny country that has a population of 3 million people and it became independent only in 1990. Although Lithuania is still quite unknown, it is a really nice place to visit and to live in. It’s full of lakes, forests and rivers. There are also small towns and big cities with precious little streets and stunning architecture. That’s why you have to get to know Lithuania!
