  1. Why Are PVC Cables popular amongst Electrical Industries? PVC cables aka Polyvinyl Chloride wires are used widely for making cables. They are used for insulation purposes, sheathing and even bedding purposes. PVC cables have started replacing rubber insulated wires which were commonly used for the house wiring purposes. These PVC cables have become very popular because they last long (more than 30 years), are easier to process, and are very much cost-effective. Check out the main reasons why PVC cables are popular among electrical industries. Highly Versatile PVC Cables are highly versatile, and this is recognized as one of the prime reasons why they are popular among electrical industries. These wires can be modified conveniently with lubricants, stabilizers and plasticizers. These can help in enhancing its properties. Processing and recycling of these wires are easy and hassle-free. Multiple uses These cables are found with varied or multiple uses to perform varied tasks in various industries. For the same, these cables are softened by the process called polymerization. Some PVC cables harden after the process. Such PVC cables after polymerization are not suitable for insulating and protecting wires and cables. Highly Ductile PVC cables are highly ductile, tough and is resistant to rough abrasion. Though they are light- weight in nature, these cables are very strong wires that are resistant to rusting or abrasion and have less impact on varied weather conditions. Thus, it makes these PVC cables useful for all kinds of outdoor products that are exposed to fluctuating temperatures or for long lasting products. Use in cable production and insulation PVC cables are widely used in cable production and insulation. Since they are highly durable, these wires used extensively in the construction of cables for modern buildings. These cables never conduct electricity, which is again a good reason why they are popular among electrical industries.

  2. It is safe to use PVC Cables are highly safe to use. They undergo a lot of research and testing to ensure that they satisfy all the safety rules and regulations. They are non-toxic and so, they are safe for the environment when compared to their rivals. They might burn when exposed to fire but, is easily exhaustible. Highly resistant to fire These wires are highly resistant to fire and hence can be used safely for household purposes. They are quite easy to use and are easily maneuverable. Again, these cables are very much cost-effective and are easily available that most of the natural resources. Due to its high durability, it need not be replaced every now and then. All these are the good reasons why they are preferred and popular among the electrical industries. They do not conduct electricity, and hence is a perfect choice for making insulated wires and cables.
