Johnson County Wise Eyes
Johnson County Sheriff’s Office Bob L. Alford, Sheriff
What is Wise Eyes? • It is a Crime Watch Program designed for not only neighborhoods but all others who daily travel our County roads conducting their normal business. • It also is Johnson County’s answer to the Amber Alert. (Child Abduction Plan).
Why is it Necessary? • Citizens cannot afford an officer on each corner • Not enough officers to cover the 735 square miles 24 hours a day • Criminals prey on areas of low police presence • We know that we cannot succeed without citizens’ help • Let criminals know that our citizens are active in fighting crime • Only 3-hour window in child abductions
