  5. Smithsonian Magazine and Online Equivalent • Smithsonian.com has many helpful articles related to science, culture, art, and more • IUS Library has subscription to this publication • All reference magazines are located in the basement of the IUS Library. • http://www.smithsonian.com

  6. The Wall Street Journal and Wallstreetjournal.com • Wallstreetjournal.com has world news, politics, economy, law, media, sports and many more • Has “Today’s Print Edition” online • IUS Library has a subscription to The Wall Street Journal • http://www.wallstreetjournal.com

  7. YouTube • Informational videos on almost every topic • Interviews with many informative individuals • Learn better by watching than reading • Used this source a great deal for first paper and last paper • Many scientific videos and interviews • http://www.youtube.com

IUS Article and Database Search • My favorite way to search for information! • Search magazine and newspaper articles in several different databases • Most articles can be found in the magazine section of the IUS library (Basement) • Use keywords in searches • Refrain from using and, or, etc. • http://ius.edu/library/index.cfm

  9. Associated Press Style guide • The first AP style guide was published in 1977. • Used to clarify the news organizations rules on grammar, spelling, punctuation, and usage. • Usually updated annually • Can get some parts of the book electronically

  10. The Skin Cancer Foundation Website • Used this site for my last paper • Information on types of skin cancer • Tanning information • Info on how to protect yourself • Very informative for my science paper • http://www.skincancer.org
