Vinyasa Yoga –“Vinyasa” essentially means to move in a distinctive way. Compared to other primitive forms of Yoga, Vinyasa is rather new and involves movement coordinated with your breath. The asanas are sequenced in a way that feels natural to you and anybody at any fitness level can pick up a routine and get to it. Also known as Power Yoga, Vinyasa is considered to be one of the smoothest forms of Yoga. 2. Iyengar Yoga – Contrary to Vinyasa, Iyengar practices more detail oriented poses. The asanas are held for longer periods while learning how to breathe and relax in them.
