  1. FLOORING TRENDS 2023 WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE NEW YEAR- Om’s Remodeling The start of the new year is the perfect opportunity to do a little remodeling. Get that scratched or cracked floor and replace it with the most modern and contemporary floor. There are plenty of choices. What’s trendy currently that will be stylish in the future years? Here are some trends in flooring to keep an eye on in 2023. MATERIAL TRENDS Wood floors are in high demand in the present. They’re strong, are beautiful, and more environmentally friendly in comparison to flooring made of synthetic materials. However, the process of staining and completing is not as well-known. Smoking the wood, or exposed to ammonia creates a deep dark shade that’s appealing and textured. If you’d preferflooring that is lighter, it’s possible to get the wood bleached instead. By treating it with certain chemicals, it eliminates staining, giving the wood a natural appearance. The natural and rustic look is very popular at the moment. A lot of floors are made from reclaimed wood, especially Barnwood. The material is not only in itself green, but using old wood instead of creating new ones helps reduce the need for forest destruction. Even floors made of recycled wood are getting worn and weathered. The trend of worn concrete tiles is catching on this year too. It not only gives your floor a rustic appearance and helps hide the use and wear that builds up over time. If you’re looking for something that’s slightly more sophisticated, porcelain stoneware is currently experiencing an explosion in popularity. The material is sturdy and luxurious, however, its only drawback is that it’s frigid, especially during winter. If you’re planning to choose this style you should consider laminate flooring designed to appear like stoneware made of porcelain, or installing radiant floor heating beneath. TRENDS IN AESTHETICS Equally important to the flooring materials it is composed of, are the designs and colors you pick. A trend that is currently gaining momentum is the merging of traditional and contemporary design. The black and white tile which was popular years ago, is now coming to the forefront, with more elaborate images and designs and not just the standard white and black tiles.

  2. Hexagonal tiles are getting more popular, especially in bathrooms and kitchens. They can be used to create a selection of designs that are not possible with square-shaped tiles. As far as color goes, a more natural look is preferred in today’s designs–particularly unstained wood, as discussed in the previous section. Wood can be an extremely flexible aesthetic, especially when you combine different colors of woods in particular designs. Continue Reading- https://www.omshomeremodeling.com/flooring-trends-2023/
