7 Things You Need To Know If You're Still In the Closet

https://gaylien.co: 7 Things You Need To Know If You're Still In the Closet.: If you were teaching somebody how to swim, would you push them in a water before they've even put their cute little floaties and water wings on? If you would, count me out for swimming lessons. Don't rush into things. Coming out when you are not emotionally ready and stable could be a rollercoaster ride of emotion. Just know that there is nothing "wrong" with you and that there are many people out there just like you.

If you were teaching somebody how to swim, would you push them in a water before they've even put their cute little floaties and water wings on? If you would, count me out for swimming lessons. Don't rush into things. Coming out when you are not emotionally ready and stable could be a rollercoaster ride of emotion. Just know that there is nothing "wrong" with you and that there are many people out there just like you. 6. You'll Make A LOT of New Friends. Joining the LGBTQ community is like meeting your long lost cousin from Timbuktu. (Its great). Finally, you can express yourself freely. A lot of people think of the friends they might lose after coming out. Think of how many friends you'll gain! The LGBTQ community is filled with people who you can relate to.

If you're unsure about coming out, tell someone who you feel close to but is not directly connected to your "main" friends or family. This can allow you to see what the reaction is from someone who cares about you without jeopardizing your cover. Then, once you feel comfortable coming out to one person, the rest will go down like dominoes. Instead of shouting it out to the heavens, take a day-by-day approach. 4. Ignore Fear. I have come to the conclusion that sometimes fear, and the stress that comes along with it, are inevitable. When I come across a situation I ask myself a very simple question: "Am I in control of solving this problem? If the answer is "no," then you have nothing to worry about. There is no use in worrying about something that is out of your control; its wasted energy. If the answer is "yes," fix it! The lesson here is that there is no use in constantly worrying about how coming out will affect your life. Remember, worrying doesn't change anything, it just stresses and exhausts you. 3. Put Social Norms Aside. Every genius was considered a weirdo while they were alive. It was only later, when the human race evolved further, that they were appreciated and seen as geniuses. Everyone is unique and raised differently. This leads to people having different beliefs. We, as LGBT people, have to be the bigger people and understand the circumstances. We have to acknowledge that some people were raised in a homophobic, sexist, or racist environments. Certainly this does not excuse their behaviour, but we must be patient and understanding that people are at different levels of acceptance. 2. It Gets Better I know that sounds super cliche, but its true. The more that someone is exposed to a behaviour, the more normal that behaviour becomes. Its like raising a puppy. If you're nothing but excited and playful around the dog, it'll normalize this behaviour and act the same way. So yea, sure your parents might think its odd at first, but after a while, they'll inevitably get used to it. 1. Realize this: YOU Are The Most Important Person In The World. Take a step back and look at what matters at the end of the day. One day, you'll finally realize what the most important thing in your world is. Its YOU! No one is more important

  3. www.gaylien.co than you, and you have to do what makes you happy first. Let's get one thing clear: I'm not telling you to swipe an old ladies seat on the subway or cut someone off on the highway, because you're the Almighty. I just mean, think about your happiness first. If your considering living a lie to please someone else (parents, friends, family, etc.) please don't. You'll soon see that it won't make you happy. Don't live your life for others. Live for you. After all, its YOUR life. When you finally realize this, you won't care about what people think. You'll know that ultimately your happiness is what is most important to you. That's when you know you're ready to come out. Information Presented by :- Galiyen Co. Email: gaylien.co@gmail.com Contact no: 514 602 9611
