  2. Let Avni Live Stop killing tigers. Let Avni, her 2 cubs and the Mate live. Avni, her 2 nine-months old cubs and her mate lives in the forest of Pandharkawada, Yavatmal district, Maharashtra, India. Avni has been declared as a man-eater by Maharashtra State government. She had killed13 people in the past 2 years. 7 out of 13 had cattle next to the victim’s bodies. This indicates that uncontrolled grazing can be one of the main reason behind this. 10 out of 13 killings happened only on Saturday-Sunday. This arises a question like why a man-eater would only decide to kill on weekends. The DNA report carried out on 3 bodies out of 13, and only 1 contained the tigress DNA. All these incidents make us think, is Avnireally a killer? Previous shoot order for Avni had been stayed due to these irregularities.

Avni’s killing will eventually result in the death of her two cubs, as they are too young to survive themselves and hunt independently. And, as a next step, the government would hunt down avni’s mate and the father of the two cubs. Efforts are being made to save Avni, her cubs and the mate by individuals and differentOrganizations.

Capture the tigress’ and her two cubs together and relocate them in another area. We should try to save our national animal and should not be the reason to kill them.
