Learning difficulties are a group of disorders characterised by significant difficulties in the development and use of speaking, listening, reading, writing, thinking, and arithmetic skills. These disorders are believed to be the result of malfunctions in the central nervous system and are specific to each individual (varying widely throughout individuals). A learning disability may be impacted by environmental factors, such as cultural differences and insufficient or improper training, or it may coexist with other disabilities, such as intellectual impairment, sensory impairment, and social and emotional instability. However, those things are not the direct cause of it. Which traits are typical of learning challenges? The majority of learning difficulties can be classified as either non-verbal or verbal. Verbal: Words might be challenging to read and write. While some individuals with verbal learning difficulties may have no trouble sounding out a sentence or paragraph accurately (therefore reading effectively), others may find it difficult to acquire other language skills. For instance, individuals might be unable to see the scenario they have read about in their minds or "make sense" of what they are reading. Nonverbal: Difficulty writing because the brain finds it challenging to juggle the multiple tasks that must be done at once (such as moving the hand to form the correct letters and remembering the correct grammar in a sentence). Processing problems include things like misreading the '+' in maths for the '-' or having trouble interpreting visual details like numbers on a chalkboard.
