Enhanced Cricket Compass with Ad hoc network Computer Science 20013901 Kisuk Kweon
Introduction • Cricket Compass • Determine the orientation and location indoors • Active beacons, passive sensors, and associated software algorithms Beacons on ceiling RF + Ultrasonic Pulse Cricket listener with RF and ultrasonic sensors Mobile device
Problem Definition • Using many beacons in large place causes much cost and interference between them Interference can be happened
Motivation • Reducing the number of beacons while covering all area in the building Applying ad-hoc network to the cricket compass
Approach • Devise a novel protocol for the Cricket Compass, Enhanced Cricket Compass • Make a simulation so as to show how many beacons can be reduced using ns2 • Schedule • ~ 10. 14 : survey more about the existing cricket compass • ~ 11. 11 : devise a novel protocol • ~ 12. 9 : make a simulation and report
