Will I get credit for EAP? Yes! • With planning, course work can apply toward your Biology or Environmental Studies major. • All course work abroad on EAP earns UC credit, not transfer credit. • Courses are recorded on your UC transcript.
Can I afford it? You can’t afford not to! • Students pay the SAME UC fees! • UCSC financial aid goes with you abroad! • Your financial aid is recalculated based on the budget for your program (includes airfare, pre-departure expenses, etc.) • Special EAP scholarships help offset any higher cost.
Is there support abroad? Definitely! • A Study Center Director (or designated UC liaison officer) administers the program and is responsible for the academic and personal well-being of EAP students
EAP Selection Criteria • Most programs require a 2.5 or 3.0 GPA • Most require at least sophomore or junior standing • Some have language prerequisites, but most DO NOT! • Personal motivation, maturity, flexibility, seriousness of academic purpose
