  1. How to paint wooden furniture

  2. Painting furniture can be a fun and gratifying activity, from refinishing an old chair to upgrading a cherished table. It's an excellent method to incorporate a new color scheme or give a room a quick and easy makeover. Our Simply Refresh furniture paint is also extremely durable and scratch-resistant. • You’ll need: • Dulux paint for Furniture • Brush • Masking tape • Paint tray • Sand paper, sanding block and possibly electric sander • Roller • Sponge • Vacuum cleaner • Cloth • Degreaser • Paint stirrer • Screwdriver

  3. Paint You may say goodbye to priming; it only takes two applications to change your furniture. Mix your Dulux paint thoroughly before pouring it into the paint tray. For furniture with curves and detailing, begin by painting smaller parts with a brush, then progress to a roller for larger surfaces. Top tip: For a flawless finish, use a brush and roller designed for wood surfaces. Check your paint tin for the required drying intervals between coats. It's possible that you can plan a creative weekend of tiny makeovers, or that you can squeeze in a project after work and spread it out over a few evenings as things dry.

  4. Clean • Remove as much paint as you can from your brush, roller and tray. • Give them a thorough wash in water, there’s no need to use white spirit. • Firmly close the paint tin and store in a dry and frost-free environment. • Need some inspiration? Take a look at some of our favorite furniture makeovers.
